A season that won’t be missed PART 2
By: Mostafa | July 17th, 2009Look who decided to show up, yes it’s me. This part-time excuse for a co-blogger has finally decided to post the next part of ; “A season that won’t be missed”
Coming up next….
PS: This post will be harder than Inter for me to be objective, so please bear with me. (and I don’t mean the animal)

Udinese

Well where do I start, in my P.O.V it has been a season that would be best described in one single detailed word “Rollercoaster” That’s a very detailed word ain’t it.
They were doing great as far as I remember during the season, and the Coppa Quarter finals isn’t as bad as it looks,it’s coppa in the end, but the Uefa Cup however was a different story. These guys topped their table Which included Tottenham (YES we got one over the brits) The last sixteen round would see more Italian success in Europe, after beating Zenit. But then again nothing lasts forever, they were beaten by Werder Bremen in the Quarter finals, but I believe that happened when they were also having difficulties in the season, They lost the first match 3-1, but showed a respectable performance in the other match which ended up in a draw 3-3.
They will see no Europe next season, but that will only lead to more concentration in the domestic sides. So look out for the Zebrette with “Quags, Di Natale, Pepe, D’Agostino and Flores” These guys will Rock Serie A next year provided they are not sold.
And then again who needs a team when you got that
->
————————————————————————————————
Palermo

The 8th team in Serie A this year, just one point behind Udinese but many behind Roma, and that last Europa spot.
They have lost only 4 games at home but all to top 4 teams, and interestingly enough their first match was against Udinese (Who came 1 spot above them), their second with Roma (Who came 2 spots above them), not enough? their third game Genoa (Three spots above them) Hmmm interesting.
But just think of what they could have achieved if they had not sold Amauri…….
Not a special year for them and easily forgettable and nothing much to write either well maybe a video will suffice.
Lol just kidding

Cagliari

They have been one of the most under appreciated sides this year, although they have beaten top class teams, and them being in this position is no small coincidence. It has come through their pestering of the top and their wins from below, and above all else the biggest shining point it their team was without a doubt Acquafresca by netting 14 goals for his team this year!
Not only is he young, but the kid’s got talent!
But it was a team effort for them to do this
These guys finished with : 15 Wins 8 Draws 15 Losses 49 GF 50 GA And 53 points

Lazio
(Trying to be objective)

Only one thing could be said for Lazio this year, Coppa Forget all the statistics and all the numbers they won something this year, and it’s gotten them to Europe
Now lets pray they do well in europe
———————————————————————————————–
Now that’s that, and now that i am finally back, I will try to promise you this, that in the summer i will do 1 / 2 post(s) per week, for news and/or other things. With the start of the season there will be 1 match post and 1 news post, now see you next post BYE!

Being an Arab or whatever you are, you should really appreciate Palermo and Sicily a little more…

I appreciate them KJ, but I did that part of the post during the exams so I really didn’t have time to think on it, and I also appreciate you being 1/3 of my audience. But I really think Palermo can do much better than this season, and as I stated, had they not sold Amauri maybe Roma would not be in Europe at all this year…

Cavani easily covered for Amauri’s departure, he really stepped it up this season

I agree alessio, but if both of them were on the pitch there would have been something else entirely.

Screw the objectivity Mostafa, Lazio should never be recognized for anything!
oh, and tell samson great stuff too! The guy is great with all of his work and constant updates on the Chievo blog since last December or so. Great guy!

all kidding aside, great effort Mostafa. I know it must be time consuming looking up the information, videos, and setting up the graphics.
Grazie amico e buon lavore!
