VS VS VS VS VS VS VS VS VS VS VS VS
Ok let’s start with the Roma Preview then:
(Lots of quotes today)
Where:Stadio Bentegodi, Verona.
When :Saturday 6 December 2008, 1800 CET
Who: Donkeys vs Wolves
Why: OUT OF RELEGATION ZONE -Donkeys, BACK TO TOP HALF OF TABLE -Wolves
What:Serie A, Matchday 15

WTF: Ok, this is a game that is kind of Fateful for Us & “The enemy”, I said it before the keys to “Out of relegation” are with Roma, and they still are, but a rejuvenated Roma is tougher to beat. We need at least a point out of this game, if we are to stay alive in Serie A, but yet again Roma need 3 of these points to stay alive. Alive for us means out of relegation, Roma’s Alive means CL spot.

Words of wisdom from many people:

The Coach:

We need a good performance both in defence and up front,A team who are looking for survival cannot play for a 0-0 result and so we need to keep the ball as well as a high tempo against Roma.
They are a strong team and so we cannot leave them with too much space.
[Luciano] Spalletti is a great coach and he knows how to get the best out of his players. They also have [Francesco] Totti as well and he is like an extra man for them.
We beat Udinese but that doesn’t mean our problems are over and we need to understand that the game doesn’t end until the final whistle.

So as you can see, the coach is going for 3 pts, (You just can’t stay on the defensive against Roma). Personally i just can’t see us winning 1 point from this match unless we score.

Bentivoglio: (middle fielder)

It was essential to stop the negative series of defeats, Now we are working on continuity, and we must archive the away game at the Friuli.
We cannot stop to celebrate. Considering the standings we must be ready for other achievements.

Every time we play we do so to win. We never imposed a game with the idea of taking home a point, and it will be like this against a tough opponent like Roma.
Obviously we must do so with the right humility and concentration. In some way we must regain the points we have lost so far.

Fingers Crossed, Gulp.

Let’s see it from their point of view:

Something on “Him”:
Giannini:

I am sure Francesco Totti and company can do well this term and finish with a Champions League place,” Giannini told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“Roma are something else with Totti and the team’s output improves when he plays.

“There is an extraordinary potential at Roma and with players recovering, [Luciano] Spalletti can focus on this.”

Sadly for us, He will be playing. Leading the pack to attack unarmed donkeys (that can fly!)

Chris:

Unfortunately, if all is right this game all will go wrong. Unless the wrongs have been righted, which I believe they have. Thus all wrongs will be right and all rights will be right. Right? Right.

I loved this, lots of wisdom there for all who seek it! lol

Formations & Lineups:

Chievo:

Possible Starting XI: (4-3-2-1) – Sorrentino; Malagò, Mandelli, Yepes, Mantovani; Pinzi, Bentivoglio, Marcolini; Esposito, Langella; Pellissier.

Roma:

Possible Starting XI: (4-3-1-2) – Doni; Cassetti, Juan, Mexes, Riise; Perrotta, De Rossi, Taddei; Baptista; Vucinic, Totti.

+’s:
Supposedly Vucinic is out (horray for us!)
Aqulani is still changing his dipers!!
Pizarro thought the injury list was a Sign Up list for some Chilean contest
And Tonetto is still in bed
We have just won Udinese, Simple maths state that we should win Roma 2-0, but there is nothing simple about this one.

-’s:
Roma have been unbeaten for 6 matches.
Their last loss is a distant memory
They have won 4 straight
Would have been 6 if not for Cicinho

Little Piece of maths:

We Beat Udinese Who Beat Roma Who Beat Chelsea

Does this mean that we can beat Chelsea??? lol

but then again….

Roma Have Beaten Lecce Who have drawn with Milan who have won us

so maths is Inapplicable in Serie A
Last Match:

We got a 1-0 win, and so did they, BUT We won after a certain Red card, and it was an own goal (ithought we had scrored it but the replay shows it was an own goal), so we have yet to score this month, and like Roma’s comback (against Chelsea) ours will only be confirmed against Roma or Inter, if we score any goal in any of these two teams, we are back on track no matter the outcome, we need the goalscoring mentality back, and Pellisier isn’t helping one bit, where are the 22 goals from last year!

Roma However Fought for a 1-0 win, as much as i hate saying this here, they won with style.

Prediction:

This is gonna be one roller coaster ride for us, sadly the tracks to it are broken.
Chievo 1 – 2 Roma
Please Make it Pellisier!
and i don’t really care who score for Roma

The live blog will be a 5 minute Summary of what is happening. At the top.
After this there will be a Calcio Mathematics Post.

FORZA CHIEVO, Chievo Ultras away match!!!!
    GO BEAT ROMA!!!!!

Pauly, that is the thing about wins, they dont have to be impressive. All it takes is just one goal.

    Mustard?

No, wait. I forgot the “I’m joking” emoticon.

To my knowledge, it was just a typo on Pauly’s part. I was just having fun with it. I thought it was funny. Besides, I wouldn’t have the foggiest what the hip young kids are saying today.

    Yikes. Sorry.

    :D
In Verona? It’d be ideal if kids spoke in Shakespeare’s language.
“O, then, I see Queen Mary J. hath been with you.
She is the fairies’ midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an agate-stone”

Hmm, 5 days between comments here.

Well, it looks like Chievo blew it. I told you that I was going to hold the “experts” here accountable for their portrayal of Inter as a weak team that needed referee help.

Instead, it looks like another loss by Chievo.

4 goals, too. Too bad they didn’t play up the “talent” that you guys must have thought they had and crush us.

Can donkeys fly in Serie B?

Honestly, if I had a sure thing winner like you guys today, I would have been screaming to high heaven.

Considering how lowly you regard Inter, I am surprised that there isn’t more here to jeer and insult…

I feel like I should throw a “you whippersnappers” in there for good measure!
