The Donkeys Live to Fly Another Day

By: Samson | May 24th, 2009

They did it! They survived and avoided being sent down to the fiery depths of hell that is the Serie B. The brawl loss that Torino endured by the hands of Genoa seals the deal for us. A season filled with woes, a season that saw us change managers. It is all over and them boys can hold them heads up high knowing that they will play in the top flight for one more season.

The greatest lowlights to the greatest draw of the season.

Celebrations

Some words from Di Carlo:

“Today was really an extraordinary thing, especially on part of the players.”

He then got on the mic and said to all the Ceo tifosi:

“I Thank all of those who believed.”

To wrap it up, he payed tribute to a recently deceased fan of Vicenza who passed away at the Tardini

“We send a hug to the Bertolone family. It is a bad thing what happend. We are close to the family at this time”

Check out our main man, Sergio “the hat trick against Juve” Pellissier riding shotgun in the smallest car in Verona. Of course, like any football player, he enjoys the company of two of the finest women that Verona has to offer. After all, only the best for our capitano!

.… well, they had to push the car sooo, maybe not the BEST for our capitano. :P

Now, we concentrate on ensuring a good summer mercato. Cheers boys, you fought like true warriors. The game away to Napoli is meaningless and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Congrats, Chievo! I’ll take a draw with you guys any day – this team has been a blast to follow! Now we tifosi di Bologna hold our fate in our own hands – time to take it all to the field and make that push to stay in Serie A! I’ll be at Bologna’s final game – nice to have a chance after facing the Flying Donkeys this weekend!

G, i wish you and Bologna the best of luck! I want to see Torino fall to Serie B. Bologna have been a better team and deserve it. Roma want to end the season on a high so they will bring it against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico.

    Likewise Gmaster :D

Yes, Torino is toast. Lecce fell first. It will be interesting to see who follows.

In reality, I’m surprised at the outcome of this game. I wwasn’t expecting the scoreless draw. It sucks that all Serie a games are played at the same time for the last two weeks, so I missed this game.

Lastly, the last game at Napoli will be quite tough, but so is Chievo, a team of tough MF’s……

Thanks for the quick post-game and the highlights.

    Forza Chievo!

Chievo is still the biggest miracle in all of the internatioanl football scene. We love them in Washington, DC. Congratulations – we look forward to following the Flying Donkeys next year!!

Cool thing WashDC. Yes, keep coming back and you will see how Mostafa will pimp this blog up. In addition, once Chievo has a much better campaign next year, it will be enjoyable and fun to come here to read and post comments.

Oh Fester, where are you. Did you get lost again? Don’t tell me you have nothing to comment on, or that you have no links that we can open up….

It’s the third time I’ve been kidnapped by UFO, who decided to clone me and then unleash me in numerous copies onto the earth. Beware! :D
    BTW, congrats to flying donkeys.

BTW, I don’t have to ask whether you’re going to watch Barcelona-ManU. Are you going to be here during the match or are you going to visit some other blogs (cough)to comment?

No Fester, I missed the game overall because I had a paper due. I checked in with “il prefessore” and the rest of the guys for a few minutes, but all after the game.

Well, we might as well congratulate Barcelona and thank them for doing the world of football a huge favor! I hope those ManCheesy fans got a little taste of the Roma and Barca ultras :D
