That’s what happen when you Match a zebra with a Donkey!

By: Mostafa | November 30th, 2008

Unpredicted win, but I like it, i like it!
We are making up for lost points that is all that matters!!! , got one on ya vin ;)

This one will be short and brief and to the Sharp point.
Udinese coach Pasquale Marino:
he knew it from the start (cornered animals are most dangerous!)

“Now all games have a particular danger,” declared the former Catania boss.

“We know that this game is difficult, against a team hungry for points, that does not deserve its current league position.

“We must not repeat the mistake of the game against Reggina, but I’m convinced that a careful and concentrated Udinese side can have a good performance, and consequently it will be easier to obtain a positive result.”

Well they got a smart coach

Match Summary

The truth behind this win is that it was a drawn match until Di Natale made a dumb move (not even totti gets away with that!) and poof Udinese were leaderless and the zebras lost their stripes! we should (could) have scored a second goal prior to the first but the defender cleared it! A corner was played Udinese conceded an own goal, i think it was scored by one of our men but they couldn’t decide who sooo ….. OWN GOAL!, (actually after seeing the replay it’s obvious it was Own goal, i even doubt our lad up there would have scored, so thanks Felipe!) but we were actually playing better, we had some opportunities but we never score it takes own goals for us to win ! (see end of video, PASS THE BALL GOD DAMN IT) so that makes up for the uncalled penalty!

Match Analysis:

We got 3 pts BUT we are still last, which makes the bologna match all the more important, but we proved that we CAN fly, we played good but it’s that missing piece of quality that separates the Decent/Good teams from the Great/Top teams, I mean that last play speaks volumes, and if you watched the full match you would get my meaning, what’s done is done and we won!

Future:
Our goal is a simple one this year, stay clear of Relegation zone, and we are now only around 9 pts below par.
Roma/Inter two executions, One will by shooting, the other Hung. Personally this is the wort time to play Roma, they are getting back to their regular serie a form, and depending on Milan and Juve’s next two games , they will decide Inter’s determination to win. if both teams lose their coming matches (longshot) then we will have a small chance to Tie or win Inter.

Far Future:

The Genoa / Bologna matches are all the more important now, these matches are fate matches, i’m not expecting much from the Genoa one, but the bologna one is a must! if we win the Genoa one we will be almost back on track!

Coaching change did it?

I still don’t think that was the coach’s doing, after all we won by an OG, but nevertheless he played Udinese right, one thing Di Carlo will always Excel over Iachini in is his Serie A knowledge, he just played last season in Serie A (Dismissing the result) he knows the other teams better, BUT Iachini knows his own team better. Tough Decision but could have been avoided all together, i mean with any coach on the side line, if you miss that like that last play you don’t deserve to be in Serie A.

What to expect from next 4 matches:
Two losses one win one tie, unless all of the teams come into this match with this kind of motivation.

Ok. It’s short enough, that’s it, if i’m free i’ll make a midweek news post (also depending on the amount of news), but i’m certain i’ll make a Roma Preview that’s all for now folks stay tuned for more here at The of———-

Yes Johonna, the game took place at the Udine’s home, the Friuli…..

I assume that the emptiness was due to Udine fans uninterest to pay a ticket to see Chievo play. Yeah, its a pretty bad fan attendance, perhaps 15,000.

Pauly, your comment would mean more to me if I thought you actually watched the games, instead of youtube commercials that are made with an agenda and are by definition incomplete. But judging from your comments on the Roma board, I am not even sure that you’re watching those games…

But whatever, you want to continue this fiction, then I will play along.

As I said, we must be such a poor team that we have bought referee help, according to you on several occasions.

How and why we have paid them to help our greatest rivals Milan, and Milan certainly have benefitted from referee miscue, I have no idea, but this is your fantasy.

All that aside, there is no reason that Chievo cannot defeat Inter by 3 goals, at least. If Chievo doesn’t do this easy thing, then I will have no choice but to react as any little, poor team fanatic.

I’ll see you guys later, maybe…

Well said Mad. I like the fact that you’re adressing me in a calm and civilized manner, so I will no doubt do the same.

The fact is that, as you well know, your team always sits at the top, so most of us, always gun for it. I admit, the palm-greasing of referees is often an exaggeration by me. Yes, It would defy logic that all refs, for all games, would be greased to work for inter’s favor. That is nonsense. So nevermind what I’ve said about that and let’s leave it on the side.

This is what matters: As an anti-interista, I just envy the fact that your team is always on these spells of luck. No doubt your team is comprised of great players, and consequentially, your team is bound to play great. On paper, Inter is probably the best team in Seria A. But, it defies me and many others, how often Inter gets the lucky rolls, the lucky calls, lucky breaks, etc. As I said, your team is good, but in MY OPINION, and my opinion only, its better on paper than on the field. Other then 5 games perhaps, Inter has not overpower, demolished, and blown teams out of the waters. Thus, inter has NOT truly impressed many of us. Mainly, Inter’s play in CL play has been weak. That is inarguable, I believe.

In addition, my dislike of JM is beyond anything you might ever comprehend. It grew in 2005 when he was in Chelsea. I stand in complete contrast to his ethics, morals and principals. So when he joined Inter, my dislike for your team intensified even more.

So that’s it! Those are the reasons why you might read me write things here and there about inter. In fact, just know that I respect Johonna. In fact, I kind of like her. Other fans that I come across here in L.A. are alright ans respectful. So its not all hate. I just hate how most things seem to go right you your team, thats all.

I hope what I just wrote ends all of the confusion. In short, you have your opinions, thoughts, dislikes, and I have mine.

Ah Pauly, you are so young. Inter do not always sit on top, just for the last few years. Before the scudetto that was gifted to Inter, we had not won the leage since 1989. These last few years have been our one moment in the sun since the late 1960s. It is just our turn for a change. That and Moratti has plugged like 500 million euro into the team and coach – that helps too.

As for lucky breaks, we get the same number as every other team. Really, if Moratti were paying off the refs, dont you think that we would not have pulled all those draws? Or that Milan and Juve would be snapping at our heals? I dont know which is worse: that you accuse Inter of cheating or that you accuse them of cheating badly.

And since when does a team need to demolish? A single point difference is all you need to win. That is all that matters.

Udinese are averaging a bit less than 15,000 a game this season; the team really does deserve better, but has never really been able to command a large fan base with the exception of the Zico years.

Pauly: I really like the way you talked (civily) and keep it that way guys!
Johonna: Yeah i bet the moratti money was the most crucial part of your extended “Turn” i mean we got our split second in the sun 2001 and since then it’s been High’s and lows. I know i just defied the regulations and talked about roma so let me say on a chievo notice, The chievo turn was The Calciopoli crisis year, THE CL!
for a team that had made a trip from BELOW serie c it was amazing to see them in the CL. back then all i could do was laugh at the thought, but even without the point reductions and all that stuff they were a tough team then.

Johonna: You truly missed the point of what I wrote. Didn’t I say that I exaggerate on those “cheating” things, and that it has been pure “nonsense” to think along those lines?

Com’on girl. Im sure you can read, just make sure you read slower. I did’t say anything offensive there.

And as far as demolishing, well, that was perhaps an overstatement. Perhaps just the simple and elegant word “impress” would fit. If you’re not an Inter fan, its hard to find people, commentators, and writers to say that about inter’s play, especially me. I have seen 5 games this season, and have read on all of them.

Nevermind the inter talk here. We won’t convince you guys and you won’t convince us either. You’ve made your points and we have made ours. This is a chievo blog. Lets move on.

She’s right, most Serie A fans opinions towards Inter is exactly how they felt towards Juve before. Glad to see the rest of calcio views Inter how we always have though.

Very funny in the juve game alone we got 32,000 Attendance, the fewest attendance this year was the Siena game with only 9200.
This is our average attendance :17171
so it was a good joke while it lasted.
