Comments? Sure plenty

Di carlo :

“It will be difficult, even very difficult, but not impossible,” he told Ansa on Friday.

“Juventus has been built to win the championship. I feel they are much stronger than last season.”

“My Chievo has values and morals that are comparable. We’re going to Turin with the belief we can handle anything. Then whatever happens will happen.”

Sergio Pellisier

“To forget that is impossible,” he told Tuttosport. “Team-mates and friends are always bringing it up. I hope to score another three against Buffon, and not just against him!”

“The Bianconeri have reinforced quite a lot this summer. Then let us not forget that last time Juve didn’t have Amauri [due to injury], a great striker.

“I spent three great seasons with ‘Ama’ at Chievo. We speak often, I sent him a text after his goal in the Trofeo TIM – he was really buzzing.”

“[My objective is] safety with Chievo and to improve on the 13 goals from last year. The European dream? Only if we repeat [the form of] the second half of last season.”

Gianluigi Buffon

“We have to take the field in every match with the desire to not allow points for our opponents, because every point could weigh on the final standings,” he explained on his own official website, gianluigibuffon.com.

“We expect 38 finals and the one with Chievo will be the first. They arrive in Turin on the wings of enthusiasms they achieved salvation last year. We should beware of their pace and [striker Sergio] Pellissier.

Well that’s all for now folks. See you matchday!

Always remember this too;

BYE! FORZA CHIEVO

Mostafa, key words are LAST SEASON

Palermo will finish above Roma and Chievo will probably be relegated

    Ok, so let’s rephrase…
Juve was 2nd LAST SEASON and they improved in the summer
and Juve is the expected winner of the serie A this year, and Chievo didn’t improve at all this year, and Chievo are an expected relegation candidate.
So 1-0 Defeat is way beyong acceptable for chievo, heck there were some times during the game were chievo could have scored and tied the game, but overall i’m happy with their performance.
Roma on the other hand, have not improved at all during the summer, on the contrary actually they sold Aquilani and let go of Pannuci, and then again look at their defence
Only one starter in the defence for roma last game, Mexes/Juan/Cicinho are all out and these were starting defenders, Vucinic/Perrota are out and these are also difference makers. I mean throw in Vucinic and roma could have been up 3/2. On another note entirely DONI is out, and while Artur shouldn’t be blamed for any of these 3 goals he is sure gonna concede some in the coming matches that doni could have saved.
    Bottom line is:
Chievo 0-1 Vs juve is very good for them.
    Roma are never fit.

    agree

    “Roma are never fit.”

Excuses, Excuses, and more excuses. When will a Romanista fess up and admit, Roma is not good?

Although it was a loss, its good to see that Chievo didnt fold under pressure against Juve. A 1-0 loss is understandable. This little team will overcome!

KJ, i know i know i hate that Fuck*n excuse but that’s the truth in the end.
When i see a complete roma squad lose a match against say Palermo, then i will be convinced that roma are worthless this season.
And please First match last match 213812743th match it doesn’t matter, if you don’t have a full squad, you DON’T have a full squad
anyway at least we agree on something
Pauly, Updated! but it’s not in my power to update it anyway :D

A full squad is 11 players. Roma has that plus many more. No team has a single set of 11 players that plays week in and week out.

What you mean is that there are contributors who are missing from action for some reason. Every team has that.

What Roma lack is a high quality set of contributors to step in others are unavailable – which reflects on the overall quality of the team.

So, in essence, if injuries are an issue for your team, that means that the team is thin of quality contributors, hence… “not good”.

    cornercorner

Yes MAD, Roma are not good now because they don’t have depth and any injury to the squad affects it deeply. And what brings depth to a squad? More people who can fill in the missing slots while not losing their level, and what gets that? Money, which is something that roma surely don’t have.
So tell you what, Fuck the roma chat here, lets keep it to chievo, and since you are here MAD, what did you think of the chievo game?

Money, scouts who can find decent players who are young and cheap, or a very good youth program. Having money fro transfers is easier, though.

There was a typically bad offsides call that went against Chievo, that could have been an opportunity.

Pellissier was hounded like he was last year, the difference being that they didn’t bust him open this season… yet.

And there seemed to be several NFL type tackles that went uncalled. The stream that I was watching wasn’t clear enough that I could see to whom it was happening.

Then again, Chievo didn’t push up very much either. They didn’t risk too much.

I seem to remember that Juve scored 3 goals in this game last season, so I didn’t see it as a big deal that they won by 1. I thought that they are still a little slow in the back against the counter.

Chievo look to be in another fight to stay above 17th. They need younger players who are either loans from bigger teams, or unknowns ready to step up from Serie B.

Chievo played well considering it was an away game against a huge team. The game served to improve confidence in their ability and now they will start winning… beginning with Lazio on sunday!

I had predicted 1-2 against Juve, so I’m not very good — but I say it’s a 3-1 game for Chievo against Lazio today.

Wow, your calculation skills amaze me..
    i didn’t know that 0 + 0 x 1000000000 had a value bigger than zero, lol
anyway why are you talking about roma here? is this blog titled the “Chievo(+Roma)” blog?? please say all you want about chievo here. And if you have something to say say it on the roma blog… :|

Definitely not good at predicting results with my 1-2 dream against Juve and my 3-1 prediction against Lazio! Guess I hoped chievo had a more competitive team. I’m confident things will get better. Not sure how this Abbruscato loan will pan out, but I’m worried we have too many players and some will get discouraged being on the bench, dragging the rest of the team down. Bologna next – not predicting this time. GO CHIEVO — and I wish the Roma and Palermo fans would get the fuck off the blog, wankers.
