Chievo put up a good fight that season with only as much as 2 points shy of avoiding the
drop. YOU KNOW! They remained consistent, being the only club that was awarded the return
to top-flight calcio the following year. So the question is: “Can they stay in Serie A and not
taste defeat?”. Can Donkeys Fly? These Can:

“So Far So 6-0… I Mean Good”.

The WHIPPING of Australian club Melbourne Phoenix by a score of 6-0 definitely shows that
Chievo are starting off with plenty of promise, despite the expectations to drop once again this
season. Marcolini (2), Bentivoglio(2). D’Anna and Gasparetto where on target and everyone can
agree that the match proved to be confidence booster on the way to the Serie A.

MERCATO
We sure have seen some big signings from the big dogs in Serie A during the summer
mercato and as expected Chievo haven’t made any revolutions ha-ha, especially after all the
players they had to sell after the demotion: Semioli, Lanna, Brighi, Sammarco, Bogdani . Recent low-key acquirements such as Frenchman Nicholas Frey of Modena have been made to
strengthen the defense but it proves to be the usual for a recently demoted and promoted club
but the club itself tactically strong.

  Any idea what you guys are doing with Obinna? He seems very talented the times I’ve seen him play. And can I tell you that seeing Chievo and not those bastardi gialloblu brigate from across town in Serie A is beautiful.
