Damn it’s been a long time!

By: Mostafa | January 6th, 2009
    Ok, i’m back and i have no crappy excuses, but it is true that the net was cut from north africa for a long time, but it returned in about three days and i was lazy to post.(Not that anyone cares)
    Any way this should be a long post……

-That was a formal apology
First of all:

Our list of things to talk about…..

  • 1-Mercato Italliano
  • 2-Before the break (Analysis)
  • 3-After the break (Expectations)
  • 4-What needs to be done to turn this thing around

  • Ok now first of all, let’s see what the Mercato looks like this winter:

    Here’s The Chievo Section:

    Ok now, WTF happened to Iachini why was he fired, Unless Di Carlo proves himself in the coming Transfer Period were going to HELL B, and unless we don’t find People Who score goals were gonna have a tough time staying in Serie A (Not all Serie A sides have defenders whom are willing to score OG’s, and goal keepers that are willing to concede them!)

    List of players that could be gone (contract wise):

  • Gabriele Aldegani (Goalkeeper)
  • Antimo Iunco (Forward)
  • Michele Marcolini (Midfielder)
  • Lorenzo Squizzi (Goalkeeper)
  • Fabio Moro (Defender)
  • Vincenzo Italiano (Midfielder)
  • (Not going I hope)
    That’s a pretty long list.. but then again I don’t think I know who should be sold at this point, any way our Incoming list Features mostly Strikers (Good Sign) and here they are the cream of the crop.

  • Maxi Lopez (BELIEVE IT OR NOT)
  • The only problem for Chievo would be the uncertainty surrounding his physical conditions. He hasn’t played or trained since 22 November, when the Russian league ended, and coach Mimmo Di Carlo does not have the time to wait for the player’s recovery.

    Case Closed!

  • Stephen Makinwa (Lazali)
  • The Nigeria native has become unsettled at the Biancocelesti due to his lack of playing time, and he has reportedly handed in a transfer request, hoping to leave as early as January.

    Dunno why Chievo though?
    He’s the most probable anyway…

  • Papa Waigo (La Viola)
  • Emiliano Bonazzoli (Samp)
  • Charisteas
  • The greek International.

    According to Gazzetta Dello Sport 28-year-old Greek international Angelos Charisteas is the most likely candidate to join the Flying Donkeys, as he currently plays for Nuremberg in Germany’s second division.

    There you go ladies and gentle men
    One more thing to add to this list
    Loanne:

    OKAKA CHUKA !!!!!!!

    This kid has been fantastic for Roma when everyone was a casualty of war, and a to get him now, he will be able to Show his true potential here and Roma will get him nice and experienced and we will possibly gain some league spots!
    DO IT!!!!
    Ok in the Okaka topic there have been 2 rumors;
    1- Loan
    2- Trade (for Bogdani)

    Here is what has been said:

    Negotiation does exist, even though we have not yet spoken to (Roma general director) Prade and therefore it’s still at the start, We have already spoken to the agents who maybe leaked this thing. We shall if the deal interests Roma too, We’re in bottom position in the standings, therefore we must think about saving ourselves. We shall try to make some purchases in January.

    Cool, this could be a great move.

    ——————————————–END—————————————————
    Non-Chievo European Mercato:
    Since this is a Chievo blog i won’t make this long.

    1- Buffon -> Man C
    2- Messi -> Juve
    3- Yaya Toure -> Arsenal
    4- Aquilani -> Juve (AGAIN???)
    5- Diego -> Juve
    6- Arshavin -> Arsenal
    7- Podolski -> Roma
    8- Perrota -> Lyon
    9- CR 3.5 -> Nowhere
    10- Ribery -> Real
    11- Gervinho -> Barca

    That’s enough for now Check later!

    alessio you are the juve expert here right, ARE THEY SERIOUSLY THINKING OF SELLING BUFFON!!!!
    Please enlighten me…

    As late as it is, (actually in Egypt they celebrate Christmas tommorow)
    ————————————————————————————————–
    Ok Before the break quick analysis:
    We played shit, we couldn’t score goals, we changed coach, we played shittier, we played decent against top teams, we lost to genoa……. That pretty much sums it all, Our striker is B class material, we want him to score some goals, add his talley or get sold. Personally i vote keep him. Now our Defense was not that bad, but still Not A Class material, actually the only light i see coming from this team is our goalkeeper, he has proved himself time and time again, only to be embarrassed by our lovely Defense.
    Goal Keeper: A+
    Defence: C
    Middle: B
    Attack: C

    We don’t expect to get any results like that right? come on winning Serie B and now THIS??

    Expectations:
    If we continue this fabled form run we’ll keep on running into Serie B, perhaps even Join hellas in the Abbys, At least then we would have Derby matches!, I also remember quite well, Di carlo’s last reign, He proved that he is an Expert, In getting teams to Serie B, but it’s easier to lay blame than seek answers. I expect that Di carlo can turn this ship around IF our players decide they want to, I mean come on, Almost drawing with Roma then losing to Genoa!
    ————————————————————————————————–

    To turn this thing around:

  • 1-Get Strikers that Score goals
  • 2-Teach these defenders to defend
  • 3-Keep our goalkeeper
  • 4-Perhaps Start Winning?
  • 5-Di Carlo better pull his wits
  • Ok i’m really tired, and i got exams ahead of me so that’s enough for today, Expect small insignificant posts from me.
    Samson if you have abandoned this tell me please.
