Battle Of The Promoted. Lecce V.S Chievo
By: Samson | September 12th, 2008It’s Finally Over:
• The International break is finally over and we can get back to our beloved club football. No more Lippi picking his nose and rearranging his glasses, at least for a little while. Some entertaining stuff from the Azzuri ey? (for all you haters)
Sept, 6, 2008
• While some of you won’t be surprised, a certain friendly match that Chievo took part in slipped past me this week. (too much work this week) Chievo faced croation club, Rijeka in a friendly to warm up those legs for the weekend. It ended 2-1 in favor of Chievo with Pellissier and Langella both getting goals.
…Langella, you sneaky devil you.
• Esposito made his Chievo debut and it is evident that the man is gelling very well with the “donkey” system. He was the man who assisted the first goal for Pellissier, after a scramble in the box. A good first game for the new kid. Gazzeta dello sport is reporting that Esposito and Kerlon are not even on the subs list but i doubt this will be the case, come Sunday.
• So far, we can’t stop winning and it is great to watch. In my opinion it is essential for the promoted teams to get the most points in the 1st half of the season. Why so? Because the big dogs are always impressive during the middle of the season, that is when they actually start to gel the most.
• We need to beat the shitty teams.
Teams like:
Reginna
Bologna
Lecce
Palermo (relegation suspects)
Siena
Torino
Teams like these are a must win to secure another year in Serie A.

Jan 23, 1999 Serie B- US Lecce 2 – 2 AC Chievo Verona
Key Factors:
• Lecce started their Serie A campaign in very bad shape. They lost to Torino 3-0 and were completely dominated for the whole game; however, they have had a recent morale booster. Like most Serie A teams, Lecce took part in a friendly but against a Serie D team: Grottaglie. Grottaglie were annihilated by Lecce with a score of 8-0. This should play into the hopes of Lecce and we might see them make that extra effort.
• Lecce’s potential starting defender: Raffaele Schiavi is out due to an ankle injury. Not good for Lecce by any means.
• Chievo with no Bogdani.
It is reported that Bogdani has begun weight training but is not at match fitness. Bogdani should be getting a starting role sooner rather than later but for now, he is just not ready.
• We are playing away. Always a factor.

Yes, you may Lorenzo. Just decided to live up to the responsibilities of a blogger and keep myself civil. Might have been cause i was getting tired if reading insult after insult but i also did my fair share of that too.
Just wanna start fresh. So im gonna try to be nice, polite, not troll and stuff. I must say that this wont hold back my opinions, if i have one, i will say it; however i will express it in a polite manner.
So, I offered a truce. I will hold up to it and i hope you may to.
So, no hard feelings and would like for all of you to know that my past comments were all made as a joke and not in seriousness.
Hope we can all start fresh, even that little devil KJ or Abu, depends if he wants to keep that real funny alias. jiji

Yes com’on guys, please try to keep the Chievo blog civilized and save your offesive comments for a different place. Not one person here has spoken or asked about Chievo v. Lecce! Dammmm……
So Samson, any why aren’t kerlon or Esposito playing?

Honestly Roma_son I got the lineup from Gazzetta and i think its totaly off. If there is ANY team that we should test our new signings on; it would have to be Lecce.
I realy wanna see how Kerlon and Esposito will play into Guiseppe’s system.
Bogdani is getting better and I think we have a serious chance of beating Lecce.

Yeah, a min is a must….although to be honest, the 3-1 sounds a little far-fetched, since the game is on the road. But the again, the last 3 games or so between these teams have been in the “3″ scores, so someone has to bust that 3 score again—hopefully Chievo!

I can’t wait to watch the game on Sunday….maybe then, I’ll be able to chime in and express my feelings about Cheivo’s defense and offensive strenghts, etc…..

Dude… don’t write off Siena or Torino. I don’t think either will be fighting off relegation this season.

Well Vin, Torino…very impressive against Lecce but then again it WAS Lecce. After what i saw from Bologna last week, im also afraid of writting them off.
Siena? well you got me.

I don’t think Torino will be either, Vin. Last year their defense was very solid, they just couldn’t score goals at all. But they’ve picked up Amoruso+Bianchi, who while not spectacular, can consistently bang in goals, a huge improvement over Recoba/Di Michele. With Rosina playing alongside them, their goalscoring problems will disappear and I think that means a lower-midtable finish for them.
Siena I don’t know. Berretta did great work with them and I think they’ll rue not keeping him on. But no relegation for them either, but I think they’ll be closer than the Toro.

Well i never thought they would get relagated *(at this point, who knows who will be relagated?) but I do think that they both are less of a threat to Chievo. Should have added Cagliari.

Well, you might have to add Roma to the relegation watch. j/k

Well yeah, we lost.

I think the relegation battle in Serie A might be the most complicated of all the major leagues. I am very biased with a number of clubs but I can’t imagine Torino anywhere near it and think Reggina and Catania will avoid it. As far as Cagliari – lol, I just don’t want to see my friends in Sardinia suffer relegation.

So it is ok for u to ‘troll’ but not others? How am I off topic if im curious about you and your 3rd team? I did also mention Chievo when i said, “both your teams sucked”.
Forza Palermo!Chievo (Relegation Suspects)
Good luck with the rest of the season your going to have to be very strong cause Im sure this is going to happen a lot more this year. Meaning Chievo and Roma getting beat by ‘inferior’ competition.
One more time just in case you didnt hear me the first:
Forza Palermo!Posted from

Ok Giro, Enjoy the season
