Guess who is back!
By: Samson |After my very fun and beautiful surfing trip through Australia I am finally back. Thanks to the great waves I have missed a lot of Serie A this season. Looking at some of the Chievo results; I got to say, I am happy. They have done very well against the big dogs. Draws against Juve, *Inter, Genoa and Roma are impressive for any promoted club.
A little piece of news
Apparently, Chievo has submitted a request to the High Courts Of Justice of Sport for a UEFA license after being rejected along with 4 other teams. Want to know who they are? Just look at the bottom of the standings. (exclude Torino and Catania)
The Battle
Good news is that we are just about safe from relegation. The only team that has a possibility to leap over us is none other than the same team we face this weekend. Yep! you guessed it Bologna. Bologna is on 33 points and we are on 37. A win or a draw will guarantee another season of top flight calcio for Ceo. A loss would mean a relegation decider on the final day. We will face Napoli on their home turf and Bologna will face Catania at home on their final day.
Torino has 2 very tough matches: Genoa and Roma. Personally, I think that there is no way in hell that they will pick up more than 3 points If Bologna get lucky, we could see Torino falling to Serie B.
Thanks
I’m a very bad blogger but I have managed to make one great decision while going down this Chievo blogging road. That decision was to request the help of Mostafa. Thanks a lot buddy. You have done more than well.
Better than chievo related news!!
By: Mostafa |The club have officially confirmed that they have ousted Claudio Ranieri and replaced him with Ciro Ferarra.
A statement on their official website reads:
“Ciro Ferrara is the new Juventus coach. Juventus would like to communicate that they have sacked Claudio Ranieri.
“From today, the first team will be handed over, and guided by Ciro Ferrara. Juventus would like to thank Claudio Ranieri for the work he has done in these two years.
“We would like to wish new coach Ciro Ferrara well for immediate success.”
A press conference with Ferrara will follow at 1815 CET.
The news follows a day of talks between Jean-Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco. Former club legend Ciro Ferrara had been hotly tipped to come in and it has now happened.
After suggestions of leading the team for its final two matches, updates from Turin imply that he could also be made coach for the whole of next season, but this has not been confirmed just yet. All will be revealed during this evening’s press conference.

Chievo Verona Vs Intermilan
A match up for the ages i’m sure
, but last week we proved to be quite a nusciance to the romans and we’ll do the same to these blue’n blacks. Bear in mind we are no donkeys we are flying donkeys. Who knows with all this hype and all this momentum they can actually beat Inter, in the wise words of Sergio Pellissier:
“It wasn’t easy to play in Rome. They were forced to try and win as the fans were against them, but we did our best as always
Now we will try to ruin the celebrations of Inter, we need the points more than they do,
We will tackle the best team in the league. They are trying to secure the Scudetto, but we hope that there can be festivities for both teams.”
